    Sunflower quilt finished...

This quilt was made for a family member who loves sunflower and blue. The pattern is called "Stars Over the Prairie" in the book, Gathering Friends". I've named it "Sunflowers Over the Prairie."

It's a "controlled scrappy" look...used lots of odds & ends scraps, but also kept a constant on some of the fabrics. It is machine pieced and hand quilted with variegated thread.

The quilt is lovely and the quilting is superb. What a precious gift. Thank you for sharing.

An outstanding labor of love, it looks so great on the bed makes you want to climb right in and snuggle.

Very nice! I'm a "controlled" scrappy person myself. I can never just pull from a bag and put whatever comes out together. Nice job on the hand quilting :-)

I love your quilt. I want to say simple but not meant in a bad way, more classy, not over done and the "control" you used has obviously worked very, very well. Your quilting stitches are so even!
I could live with it quite comfortably because I love sunflowers. They are always smiling.
