I bought this kit on ebay. I'm not very good at picking out fabrics and patterns yet. (I'm just an aspiring quilter yet!!) I LOVE kits! I often wonder if I've ordered something from ebay from someone who happens to be on the board. How many board members sell on ebay? If I knew who you were, I'd certainly prefer to do business with you than a stranger!

I'm with you. As a new quilter, choosing fabrics is difficult. Love your tablerunners.

I'm beginning to really like all the fabrics that can be purchased in pre-cuts for that reason. You know they are all going to go together! You did a wonderful job!

Nice job. As a new quilter myself I can relate to the fabric thing. Keep thinking one day I'll get it.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It's very encouraging!

I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but the speckled fabric is 'indian corn' and on the log cabin side, the long border fabric is 'eggs'!

if you're picking fabrics in person--try laying your group together showing 2-4"of each. bring the 1st fabric around to cover all but a couple of inches. OR take 2 pcs of white and block them off. stand back - glance, glance away,- glance back. do this several times. This usually is a better method of telling if you like what have picked! when just LOOKING at it on top of others, your eye fills in w/ all the background stuff & confuses you. ABSOLUTEY LOVE WHAT YOU PICKED!!! Good colors & perfect for the pattern!!
