OK, I finally have all the blocks done, now I figure it's going to take me a LONG time to decide on a final pattern. I know that I'm going to change the layout a lot, and probably put the blue and red in the middle, with the yellows on the outside. But this is the first layout.

Initial layout, just to see how the blocks go together.

Thank you Amma. I was very surprised at how quickly the blocks went together. I actually think it's going to take longer to decide on a final layout than it did to sew the blocks.

My mother doesn't like it, BTW. She is very traditional. I hope my sister likes it.

    Gai ça c'est vachement fantastique!

Have you got a design wall? I guess not since they're laid out on the floor. Is there somewhere you could hang up a piece of batting or flannel to stick 'em on? That way you can fiddle around with them for a while til your happy without the Tuffster 'helping'. They look great already though, I have to say! But I can't resist fiddling around about a million times when I'm in the process.

Oh I wanna do another one!!!! But I HAVE to finish this darn door curtain - just been trimming up QST blocks - boooo-rrrrring! I'm about half way through 124 of the blighters!

K, no, I don't have a design wall, but I worked hard to clear the floor in my spare bedroom, and that is where they are laid out. That way the brats can't get in and mess them up. They just sit outside the door and squall! LOL

I am definitely going to change the design, I'm just letting them "settle"!

Great job, they are looking awesome! way to go Gai.

yeah, they go together pretty fast and now is the piddly part that you can take weeks on trying to decide. (just hope that once they are where you want them that they don't get messed up. )
