    Default thimble cage

A few days ago there was a post about containers for special thimbles. I have the cage talked about for a sterling silver thimble that was my Grandmothers. It has her initials on and a few leaves. She was left handed like I am and I was the only Granddaughter that quilted like her. It's very special. The cage is also sterling silver. It is a conversion piece whenever I wear it.

That is beautiful as well as a wonderful memory. I have several thimbles that I got from my grandmother's home - not sure if they were hers or my g'grandmother's. Whose ever they were, those ladies had tiny fingers! I'm not sure any of them even fit on my pinky finger, lol. But none as beautiful and special as yours. Enjoy.

A lovely memento! Neat that both of you are/were left handed too!

Never heard of or seen a thimble cage. It is lovely, and a wonderful reminder of your Grandmother.
