Creating rooms and objects of beauty is a true gift....yours is quite obviously inherited. I also applaud the fact you use the things that are precious to you and how wonderful for the children to be able to share in that. Thank you so much for letting us see this very special room and those beautiful quilts...and for risking life and limb climbing on the furniture so we'd get an aerial view. Really appreciate it when people tell their quilt stories and show close ups of the blocks. It is so inspiring...thanks again.

You have made my day showing these wonderful old quilts and hearing your story of why you use them for your precious grands, you are a warm hearted and loving lady, and your Grands are so lucky to have a Grandmother such as yourself :D :D

I didn't see anywhere in your postings asking how old the granddaughters are...the quilts are to die for...I slept under my mom's quilts growing up and have quite a few of them..batting has wadded up in the corners but they are still precious to me...I have an empty bedroom now...you gave me a great idea...I have some things in there that doesn't fit in my sewing room...ironing board, keyboard, chair, 2 chests with fabric...but I think I would love to have a bed like yours...and keep some of my quilts on it...love your room...just beautiful...thanks for sharing with us...

I am speechless. Can you imagine the memories your grandchildren are going to have of those beautiful quilts. What a gentle welcoming space.

Oh I think these are simply gorgeous....even after so many years they all look so fresh and bright. You are indeed a lucky lucky woman to have inherited these beautiful quilts.
