Don't over think it. It is bright, cheerful and perfect for any baby. The colors are great together and work well with that pattern. It is a winner!

It doesn't strike me as "funky" at all. When I think "funky" I think wonky, strange, unusual, wild, in-your-face bright, and other adjectives. Blue and yellow together is a classic color combo. Tumbling blocks is a classic pattern. (And babies love to be able to perceive pattern.) Tossing the bright dots in there was a fun element, but certainly not "funky." Besides, you have put a lot of thought and love into this particular quilt for this little man, so I say give it to him!

Not Funky .... just plain Fun!

However, some parents are so into coordination now-a-days,
that if it doesn't match their theme, colours, style, and so on, it seems they don't want it.

Hope that your recipients are not of that type ... and are delighted with your gift.

Dh's aren't the best judge. Mine has a tendency to look at one fabric in the quilt and go, I don't like that fabric. As if I could trade it out after quilting and binding. Anyway, it looks great. It's bright and cheery. Funky can be good.

LOVE IT. Didn't really mean to shout but I think it's super. Colors, pattern and quilting are great. BrendaK

I agree - it's a classic pattern - blocks for kids are perfect. And I love the colors popping, so will the baby. I say it's an A+. Go for it!

I like it, and would give it for a baby quilt.
