"Busy" maybe but I think your arrangement makes it interesting - it's in balance and nothing REALLY overpowers anything else. I like it.

No, not busy! It is fun and colorful and whimsical. I can see the pattern of the block perfectly so it isn't too busy at all.
I would keep going on this till I got to 5 x 6 blocks. It is scraperfect IMHO.

Judy, just a thought, but it would be interesting to cut the squares you've already made on the diagonal. Then try different lay outs. To see how that would look (before committing to cutting) I would take paper & lay across a block on diagonal (on 4) then arrange those until I found something I liked.
I love scrappy too but the scraps are like bunnies!
