Finish it and give away. Someone will enjoy a warm cover on a cold night no matter what it looks like

I agree, donate it if you personally don't like it. Someone will love it. One persons 'ugly' is another persons 'charming'.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA

You're right. it is ugly. why not tie it and donate it to a homeless shelter. the ugly quilts are less likely to be stolen.

Don't give up on this one. It is a utility quilt --- how they used to make them. Finish it up, and give it an especially warm batting and backing and put it on the bed for cold nights when you need an extra layer. Don't waste what you've done so far.

I would use the solid green you have used in the quilt already and then add a wide dark brown border to frame it. I hope you do not give up on this quilt. I like it.
I agree with oma66. Please show us the completed quilt.

Not bad. It has that homey dorky look. I like it. Looks like a wonderful picnic quilt or camping quilt. Use it!

every once in a while my quilt guild used to have an ugly fabric challenge -- they made some really beautiful stuff from those uglies. Beauty is what you make it
