Are you joking? This must be a joke. This quilt top is really nice--far nicer than many I've given away here in Poland. It would be "chosen in a jiffy" if I put it in my pile of give-aways to the poor.

Surely you're jesting about yours being ugly. Why do you think it is ugly?

Who else has an ugly quilt they would like to share?!!
Gramynan....it's "homespun" not ugly.

I once saw a rag quilt on Ebay (out of similar fabrics) go for over $200.

Personally I'd love to have a quilt like that . It reminds me of the ones my grandmother used to make from what ever old clothes she had around that no longer were go for anything else. She also made braided rugs the same way. those were the good ole days.

Maybe that's my problem. I'm trying to see what's so ugly any of the mentioned quilts. Maybe it's because I live in Poland where we have very few choices. I have to be very creative with what I do get.

The ladies in Poland aren't choosy. I'm not yet sure why any of the ladies on the QB have said any of their quilts are ugly. Is it the pattern, the contrast, the colors chosen? Several of them are very complex, actually. So, why are they ugly? I've actually seen some ugly quilt tops, but none of these qualify.

I WAS given some ugly fabric today. I've been contemplating taking a picture, putting it on the forum and asking for ideas in making quilts with this ugly double knit fabric.

I don't like the dark purple sashing, I think it's too harsh with the rest of the fabrics.

See your boys know beauty and it's some thing made by Mom. The way you put the borders and sashing on it pulled it together. That is a great scrappy

Okay, I have an idea...(although I must agree with all who said there is no ugly quilt). Why not have an ugly quilt exchange or something like it? Make a master list of the quilts and their owners, then put the owners names in one hat and the quilt names in another - then draw an owner name and a quilt name, thus matching quilts with new owners. Everyone pay their own shipping and everyone gets a quilt for what is cost them to make theirs. Who knows, maybe you will come up with a quilt you'll really treasure?
Just a thought.
Hope this made sense.
