Ugly Quilt
#51
My granddaughter would love it her walls are hot pink and she has pink black and orange in the room. You need sunglasses when you go in but she loves it and stays in there all the time, if she saw it she would beg of one just like it. I have laughed my butt of at the comments. I NEEDED A GOOD LAUGH TODAY. Just rejoice in the fact that it will soon be finished and you CAN give it away to someone who will not feel that it is ugly.

Well, the "ugly" quilt has gone on to a better home. Montanaquilter agreed to take it off my hands and finish it for a foster child. (Isn't that sweet of her???) Went out in the mail yesterday...I'm just hoping it doesn't give some child nightmares

it is BRIGHT!! and I agree, can't believe that someone thought it belonged in a kit :?: but everyone has an "ugly" quilt from time to time. I just made one, didn't like the looks it was dull dull dull and finished it for my puppies to lay on, low and behold my husband saw it and it now resides on his recliner. Alwasy remember...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I like it and (so does the kitty). But if you want to tone it down, add some applique right over the blocks. Depends on the size but it could be used on picnics or as a lap quilt? There is a quilter who writes quilting books and she loves these colors. her whole house is decorated in vibrant colors. I can't think of her name but she was on Alex Anderson's Simply Quilts show on HGTV, which might be moved to DIY show. Check it out. some other quilters may know whom I am referring to.
