Since I only see a lovely quilt I must have missed the supposedly ugly one. It is a beautiful gift. Thank you for sharing.

The yellow is not as bright as you think. If you want it bigger, add another border, but if not, bind it with a bright color like red.
    I agree

Unless the picture is deceiving, I don't think the yellow is too bright at all. I do think another border would work nie to widen it all.

the picture is deceiving the yellow is almost as yellow as A yellow crayon. There is one strip in the right hand corner that is bright yellow and the boarder is almost that color.

If you have another color to add another border because you dont' like the yellow, that would tone down the yellow. Better than ripping everything apart.
Im with JenniePenny It is awesome Maybe a Teal border or binding but dont rip it apart its great

It's NOT ugly.I guess beauty is" in the eye of the beholder".
    I really like it.
I have to tell you a true story though about a quilt I made with a really BRIGHT YELLOW trim to each block. The blocks had different shades of greens. Anyway I hated it and when I had a yard sale I put the top out and priced it at $25.00. It sold within an hour and the lady that bought it said she was taking it home and machine quilting it and sending it to her husband's relatives in Germany! She thought it was beautiful and said they would love it!!

I'd be thrilled to get it as a gift. The yellow really goes well and looks nice.
