Our LQS had fabric similar to this, at least 70" wide and they were french tablecloth prints. They retailed for $70 per panel, you made a great buy.

Ohh, I hope you don't cut it up. I like the idea to use it for backing. Let us know what you decide.

Did you do the burn test to see if it is 100% cotton? I think it is very pretty HOWEVER if I knew I could get around $70 on ebay I would sell it and buy fabric that I would LOVE.

the alternative is to send it t me and i will send you more than $1.00. should i pm my address?

I agree, just add borders, I can see some wonderful quilting when it is finished in the feather pattern which is already present in the fabric shown. It is very unusual and striking, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I love the idea of maybe getting $70 for a piece of fabric you're not even sure you like. I don't think I'd cut into it until it spoke to me. If it starts talking, let us know what it says. :)

I like all the advice you are getting. I'd add a couple of borders, put backing on it and then I'd have a fun time learning more free motion quilting on it.

it was probably for a table cloth originally...it has tons of potential in quilting from using it in the center and going from there to cutting it up and using it  or table linens
