I think both versions are lovely. Must have taken you ages to pull the first version apart.

Actually, it didn't take all that long to take it apart. I took it with me and worked on it while my dh was at physical therapy. He has lots of appointments where I have to just sit and wait. Wasn't going to waste the opportunity to make the best use of my time. It's also a great way to start conversations with others in the waiting room.
