You did real good!! Love the orange one. But the blue stained one is awesome too. I would probably use muslin, that would be the norm I think. Good job. Great find. Pam

Brilliant find...all three are gorgeous. Thanks for showing us, I particularly love seeing pics of old quilts.

I'd love to see a picture of yours.
Okay I'll post a picture. One thing I was going to add on most of our vintage quilts the binding was cut from the same fabric as the backing. The backings are mostly colored muslin. It is so soft when worn a little.
You can see the bad spots on the quilt. If one part of the star is bad, the whole star needs to be replaced. This quilt is not large and I asked my daughter if she would like to have a border on it so it would be larger and she said it is the perfect size to cuddle up with on the couch to study or watch a movie. (She is almost finished with her Masters.)
    Oh Sue!

Yours is a beauty! Thank you for posting.

I have a plan of attack to get the stain out AFTER it has been quilted and bound. Wish me luck! I'll post a before and after pic if it works.

    Hi Jenni,
Hope you and your family are well.
Wow, what a great find. The last one's block blows my mind. Be sure to share once you get them quilted.
    Take care,
    Denise

    Hi Denise:

We are doing pretty well. That block is really something isn't it? Praying it somes clean...even if it doesn't, I still love it!

By the way, might be time for a Spring print purse soon!

You got a great bargain! I think the muslin on the back, and a solid color that is close to those in the top, would make for nice binding. Please do share pics with us when they are done! :)
