Methinks somebody has their nose out of joint and their head up their ---- and is jealous as sin of those whose piecing skills are of such a level as to allow them to do work like your miniatures!!
There are such stuffy purists out there, poor disillusioned dears. One has to ask those same people if they think it's not a quilt if it's been LA quilted. If that's what they think, my response is always, "Oh? Do you card your own batting too?" With a sweet Southern Belle smile on my face, of course. Huummmpfff
"Does your homegrown tomato taste any better than mine because you dug your row with a stick rather than a hoe????

These are beautiful, stunning works of art and yes, I agree, represent just as much thought and work as many large quilts! It takes real skill to do them in miniature!
I have to agree with this wikipedia definition: "....Many (quilts) are not used as bed covering at all, but are rather made to be hung on a wall or otherwise displayed."

Hey, it looks like the whole world is with you!!

I love these. Do you do quilting for the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative?

These would be perfect. I especially like the second one. The border is beautiful.

Your quilts are exceptional. They are just beautiful.
Your talent should be honored. If you are in a group that doesn't make you feel good about yourself - then it's time to find a new group. Friends lift you up not pull you down.
