My thoughts also. I think we've been tricked. This can't be a quilt block. It's just a box on top of some fabric!

Somebody asked if I had any updates on the quilt. Have finished all the Walls of Jericho blocks (5) and am in the middle of the 4 San Luigi blocks. Have found a couple of minor errors in the instructions I got, but nothing that would mess up the quilt. Calls for 20 of a certain size piece, actually need 24 - things like that. Anyhoo, it's coming along fine. We are in the middle of a beautiful spring and early summer and spending a lot of time outside enjoying the nice weather, and I don't usually quilt much during this time of year. It's interesting that the San Luigi blocks don't pop out much, certainly not as dramatically as the first blocks - I think that will happen when they are attached to the Walls of Jericho. Here's a photo of a nearly finished San Luigi. Hope you are all enjoying your summer as much as I am.

Didn't realize that I never posted the finished products. I ended up with a quilt for my son and a wall hanging from two of the three leftover blocks. The lighter walls of the quilt were done in a medium-sized meander pattern; the same walls of the wall hanging were done in connected circles.
