I think it's pretty. You should definitely gift it to your niece. I'm sure she will love it.

I love it in the black and white. Very striking!

I love it in blacks/white and I like the pattern. Jenny Doan calls it Grand Adventures in one of her books. She did it in grays/white if I remember correctly and it really appealed to me, like this one does. I don't see the yellowed white and busy as the prints are no one else will either. Great job!

Many of us would never complete and give away any of our quilts if we rest on the idea that there things that should have been or could have been better if we had made one or two different choices in fabrics. This quilt is really lovely and I think you should go ahead with your plan to give it away. It is beautiful. I am working on a quilt that I questioned the placement of some almost white patches. In fact I was really ready to replace them (a tedious job because of where they were). But a group of friends saw it and thought the white was wonderful. I wound up leaving them and now I am glad I did. I guess I am really myopic when I look at my own choices sometimes. I need others to give honest opinions for me to consider.

This is spectacular in its use of pattern to create dynamism in the quilt. If I get a vote, I vote to give it to your niece.

I did almost the same thing. Not one person has commented of the almost white fabric. It looks great an I am sure will be loved. It looks great.

Even looking for the issues you pointed out, I can't find them. Maybe a well-trained eye can, but certainly not me, and most likely not the recipient of such a lovely quilt!
