Default Wedding Quilt --"Sidewalks around the blocks"

I just finished this top for my youngest daughter's wedding gift. She and her fiance saw the fabrics in my grandson's grad quilt and fell in love with them. I was glad the LQS still had them in stock! It is not truly a "thinking outside the block" because the "blocks" have sidewalks :>. It is not what I had envisioned but several have said it is fine as it is. I hope the kids think so, too.
Right now the border is 5 inches wide. I'm contemplating making it a bit narrower. What do you all think?

I love, love it, and the wider border looks just right to me.

I love the quilt!!! My suggestion would be a narrower light border with a darker border on the outside. Just to hold it together. Just my opinion. Ann

I like a wide dark border (usually 6-8") so the quilter can do something fantastic in it. Peggy

Very pretty quilt--agree with the suggestion about a dark outer border.

I think it's awesome! I like the wide border, but would bind it with the dark rust/brown color to finish it off.

Beautiful quilt! The border doesn't look out of balance, if that's your concern...it looks great!
