I find so many younger people do not send thank you notes. I was going to do some quilting for a niece, but decided at 26 she wouldn't appreciate it.

That is really pretty, lots of time in it.

That is just beautiful, and can't imagine how many hours you spent on it. I agree that people just do not send thank yous. My avatar is a quilt that I gave a niece for a wedding gift a year ago, and know that I will never receive a thank you, but, I take joy in having made it and gifted it. And keep on making and gifting, because of the pleasure that it gives me.

Seems to me that the younger generation are not taught by their parents the value of a thank you. I to have grandchildren that I have made things for and plenty of store bought items for birthdays, christmas, etc. and never got so much as an acknowledgement they received them. I now just give them a gift card and they can get what they want. Still get no thank you for that either.

Thank you for showing it to us! Its gorgeous. I'm sure she loves it, sometimes life just gets in the way and we forget our manners.

When we had bridal shower for nephew and his bride to be, I got a thank you with in the week. It's been two months and she will be soon back to school teaching. I just thought they would take care of notes before then.

I have tried and tried and tried to teach my children to send thank you notes. I've even told them they were not allowed to touch the gift until they wrote a note. My oldest son has finally started sending a short "Thanks" on Facebook, sigh.

My mom told me her two brothers never sent thank-you notes and could not figure out why they stopped receiving gifts.

    Your quilt is beautiful.
