    It's lovely and we all understand the time and effort needed to make such a pretty quilt. I'm betting that someday she will as well and then be very greatful to have it.

    If a relative wants a quilt from me, all they need to do is ask me, otherwise I do not just make one for them. They know what they want as far as design, color etc. I have a niece and nephew getting married and I would love to make them a quilt but unless I hear from them or their parents it isn't going to happen.

    Oh, my - beautiful quilt, how disappointing that it wasn't acknowledged. Maybe it was lost in the mail?

    It's true - many of the less personal gifts I've given to younger folks have not been acknowledged (checks, gift cards for children of friends), but I'd like to think that a relative would appreciate such a lovely hand made item enough to send a note.

    Beautiful quilt, you did a great job.
    Only a few months ago, my Grand Daughter got married, and while it was a wonderful wedding, no one received thank you notes.
    I guess its just this generation.
