I laughed when I saw that picture...it's MaryJo's in Gastonia, NC, on steroids! We used to have one here in SC that sorta looked like that...don't know how she ever found anything. So I guess the takeaway from this is that our stashes really aren't so bad??? Thanks for the hoot!

I could spend hours digging through that. Bet she had such a huge stash she finally had to go into business.

Heavens!!! Reminds me of a shop I went into in Franklin TN a few years back. Piled up so high and all over the place that it was near impossible to shop.

I visited Obie's once just because I had to see it for myself after hearing the tales. I didn't like the clutter and disorganization and the whole place smelled musty and dusty to me. My ideal fabric shopping experience is in an open, spacious shop where you can easily move around and see and touch things. I feel blessed to have several nice shops within driving distance to me. I go to Lancaster several times a year but once at Obie's was enough for me.

I'm glad all quilters don't have to be the same. Some see treasure where others see chaos but in the end, we all produce something lovely. We're a lucky bunch!

I am not a huge fan of clutter, but think I could throw that by the way side once!

Have to put this on the list, too! Thanks for sharing, not heard of this store.
