A quilt like that inspires me to live to be 100 . . . because maybe, just maybe . . .if I have another 40 years or so and practice very, very diligently . . .I just might be able to create something as beautiful.

were you born knowing how to walk? to talk? to drive a car? noooooooooooooo you were not. you had to make up your mind that you could learn, then set about the business of doing just that.
you may not get it exactly right the first few times, but that's ok. practice on scraps ... or on those fabrics you look at now and just know you must have been drunk, stoned, or otherwise temporarily insane when you bought them.
if you say you can't, you won't. when you say you will ... you will.

Patrice, I would not have minded throwing it in the drier at all! I thought the first pic of one block was a huge quilt...but the whole thing is just fantastic. I have seen a number of beauties you have done and done well.
