Thought many of you might want to take a look at what I ate lunch "on" yesterday!

The first three tables were old Treadles, with a table top!

The location ..... is an old General Store that's been converted to a breakfast/lunch restaurant. It's been kept as original as possible including the large and long wooden counters, display cases, shelving, bins for grains/seeds/flour, tin ceiling etc.

It's a Mennonite community, so you can only imagine how delicious lunch was ...... Potato + Sausage Soup with BBQ Beef on the Bun. No doubt the place scored highly for me and I'll be back there many times again!

Of course, the tour was not complete, without a stop at the current General and Dry Goods store. More specifically to the 2nd floor that is filled with fabrics galore!!! :)

For those coming to the greater Elmira (Ontario) area, the location is Bonnie Lou's in Floradale.

Just what every Quilter should eat their lunch on ......

Let me know .... and we'll arrange a GTG there with other quilters ... and of course, a bunch of visits to the Menno "down the lane" shops too.

My sewing table is a piece of laminate 14 x 42 " atop an old treadle base. I bought it years ago for $15. Sewing machine does not vibrate at all on it!! I keep thinking I should put a nicer top on it and use it as a table such as this one. Thanks for sharing.

That sounds like a perfect place for it ... in your sewing room!
