I would use this as a border print and design the main quilt using fabrics colors that compliment the complexity of the border print.

This is a link to a quilt pattern called Shenandoah, Sraight strips of various widths and lengths with a coordinating color in between. Exact dimensions won't matter. Ask me how I know. Would be few seams to reduce bulk and depending on your coordinating fabrics could be lovely. Pretty fabric

I was actually thinking more along the table runner line, but the picture is too close up to see if the print would have to face each other or be opposite, or whatever. I am also a big fan of using the heavier wieghted fabrics for tote bags, but the print might be too big, again hard to tell by the picture. I do agree though, a "regular" quilt would probably not work because of the weight. Good luck with whatever you choose, & show us a pic when you finish!!!!

Throw pillows or bags, I think it would be great for bigger bag for groceries.

Draprery fabric is not washable (usually) It is only drycleanable. So it does make great wallets and tote bags.

Most Autistic children love heavier quilts and this looks like it might make a lovely quilt backing! Beautiful colors.
