I made a quilt that had diagonal rows like yours and my long-arm quilter used one design in the white area & a different design in the blue-green area. The area I wanted emphasized, she did a a design that I can't remember the name of, & the area I wanted un-emphasized, she did little loops (like the upper & lower parts of a cursive L). I was very pleased with it.
