No, that's not too much, Victorian work had a lot of color and embroidery. Looks great.

Very pretty. Is that machine embroidery or hand. I would love doing one with machine embroidery. The ones I have made were all fun to make and were given away.

Your quilt brought tears to my eyes. My grandmother made crazy quilts in this style (no silky fabs tho :-D )- She passed in 1988 and was such a sweet lady. Seeing your quilt reminded me of her and her quilts- I have one that she finished for me just before she died. I've missed her terribly since I started quilting last summer, she would have been so neat to work with! Thank you for sharing!!
