Usually, when I drag out my scraps, it inspires me to make a scrap quilt--after all--what am I saving them for?

Put on a good movie & work while you watch it. It will go faster. Look at quiltville.com for suggestions on managing your scraps.

I'm sorry but I'm sitting laughing at the wadded up mess from washing the scrap pieces! Now that is something I am sure we all have done at some point.. thinking they would wash ok on gentle cycle! WRONG! Good luck separating and pressing them flat :)

Here's what I have been doing for the last two days.... I have all of my scraps in plastic bins sorted by color. I have started with the blue and am cutting them in to 2 1/2" squares. I plan on doing a scrappy nine patch with them. I also do a lot of hand applique and use the scraps for those projects.

You have to make a mess and then you staighten it up and it will be all better. Chocolate will help too. :)

It's a project for yourself. Gotta do what you feel like doing. Your doggie looks right at home with the fabric. A true quilters dog!
