I have a very big wood trunk (I think it was a military overseas trunk from WWII) full to the brim of scraps. Some of them are wool fabric scraps came from my Grand mother who died in 1952. Other scraps came from deceased aunts, some from my mother. So you can say I am not really responsible for all of the accumulation. I have looked inside and had the same thought, these must be organized. Perhaps I will do it when I am retired from being retired.

I had scrap bags like yours and on one of our camping trips I took them, iron and my Accuquilt GO cutter. I found it very relaxing ironing the scraps and laid them in piles for strips, squares, tumbler block. Then I would stack about 4-6 on the die and crank it through. Now I have scraps ready to sew. Good Luck!

I did this when we moved five months ago. We had a couple of months to pack so I took that opportunity to "get organized". Needless to say, I need to do it again here real soon.

My mother and my sister used to get together and iron and chat. I'd enjoy ironing with a friend or watching TV. Those peices of fabric will bring back memories of projects of the past.

Be still my heart for that sweet thing standing in the middle of it all!
I had my Savannah girl Bassett that I loved and miss so much.

You'll do just fine, just think, you'll get all your colors in order! :D

Why do you wash AND iron scrap? I ONLY IRON THEM - NEVER wash them. Just takes all the stiffness out.
