No, I don't belong to a guild. I work full time and have 2 kids (10 & 6) so having time for things like that is a challenge!

I've lived here off and on since birth (S.F and all over Bay Area), but we have lived in Pleasant Hill for about 16 years now. Love it.

I'm still curious where you got that border, too!

I am from Pittsburg, California, or I have lived there for the last 9 years. Not Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania if that's what you were thinking.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, East Bay specifically is what it is called.
OK - didn't know there was one there, I'd assumed PA!

Ooops... I got it at www.fatquartershop.com They don't have the white background anymore but they have the blue and the green. It is part of the Nature's Chorus collection so other places might have it too.

Hey I lived in the US all my life and never knew there was a Pittsburg California so don't feel bad.

Pam: I thought you were from PA too.

I like it and now want to get back into this as I have many strips to use up.I like your colors and the white looks good.

Did you have any problems with the pattern? I took a class and bought the book Strip Happy by Dona Kinsey. Our class instructor had problems making the stri[ps fit as the measurements were off. They did come out with a revised edition of that book.

Thank you :)

I may try and machine quilt this one myself. I picked up a cone of machine quilting thread but I will have to do some practicing.

No, I didn’t have any problems with measurements. I have to say that I didn’t really measure though. The only thing I measured was when I was cutting the sewn together strips into squares. I sewed the 4 triangle pieced squares together into a large block and I didn’t measure that either. I just laid them on my cutting board, lined up the crossed center seams at the same point (which was the 15 ¼” mark but I believe that was from the right side of the 23” grid so that would be 7 ¾” to the center seam), made sure the point met the 45 degree angle line and just cut them square.

This was just a quick and simple quilt so I didn’t do a lot of fussing with it.
