Default What would you have done?

This morning a friend of my mother's asked me about what it would cost to have an unfinished, handquilted quilt finished. I looked it over and found that only about 1/3 of it remained unquilted. the quilting that had been done was very close together so the rest of it had to be done the same way. I quoted $40.00 which I thought was very conservative. Evidently she thought that was too much because she asked me if I knew anyone that would give her back the $20.00 she had spent on it at a yard sale. I wrote her a check? So, what would you have done?

I'd probably do the same. She just didn't know what she had!

Quick thinking. I think you got a bargain. You probably saved it from being sent to the Goodwill or worse. Smart move, lucky you.

I would have done the same. I think the 40 was a very low price. I think this quilt is in the right hands now.

You now have a really pretty quilt and truly $40.00 was a low price to charge!

She should have snapped up your offer at $40.00. I'm glad you snapped up the quilt for a $20.00 bargain. You'll have to hide it of course when you get it finished or she'll want it back. Good quick thinking!

I think you gave her an excellent quote. Too bad she didn't take you up on it, but now it's yours!!!! I would have done the same thing. It's a lovely quilt.
