Beautiful quilt! Mine is a picture of some airplanes my DH has built over the years. He has been an avid flyer for almost 60 years and just needed a gift for him for last Christmas. We can always use quilts around our house and it's on our bed right now.

My current avatar is my little furbaby Bitsy. She is quite a bit larger now. In the picture she was about 3 months old. She's now about 6 lbs 10 ounces and about 11 months old. At nine weeks she could fit her entire body in the palm of my hand. She's such a sweet girl, and I'm so glad I saved her from certain death.

Mine is my precious doggie Tessie sitting on her favourite quilt. Sadly Tessie went to doggie heaven in December last year and I miss her terribly, she was my shadow.

Mine is my dog, Toby. He was four years old last November. He was a Christmas present from my son. I went from a 23 lb dog to him.........now weighs in at 83.3 lbs. :lol

Now that I have made my first quilt, I think Toby will be replaced. Only on here of course! :lol

Your quilt is stunning.

My avatar is a picture of Vincent's "The Starry Night". Sometime in the future I intend to do a series of quilts representative of my favourite Van Gogh paintings.

I have enjoyed this thread very much, lots of beautiful quilts, companions, children and other loves...along with the stories. Some to make you smile, some that make your heart ache....all very special.

Mine is a picture of the quilt for my daughter who loves purple to honor her for her service with the Army in Kuwait. Gave it to her when she came home.

The hummingbirds in my avatar are a few on my feeders during the 2010 migrating season.
My husband and I feed as many as 300 hummingbirds during peak week. 3 gallons of sugar water a day during the peak week. We fed 144 lbs of granulated sugar during the 2010 migrating season.
is our 5th year in this location and they have come each year but one. ? Katrina ? We averaged 200 during peak week in our old location 2 hours away. I do not know how they pick and choose where they will feed but they do. My neighbors do not have the hummingbirds.
This is my hummingbird post. The closeup photos on page 11 are awesome. Should you want to read the post you will enjoy it more if you do the last pages first.

Look at the two tiny little feathers out of place. Such delicate little creatures.

I decided to just put me on for a while since I couldn't find a good picture of anything I had made. Will try to change that when I get my pinwheel project done. I am holding our rescue kitty, Toby. We found him almost starved in the nearby park in Oct.'08 (hence Toby). Actually, perhaps he 'really' found us.
