Did you actually use batting and quilt these. They are cute? Are they heavy?

I'm not sure if you are asking about my door quilt or someone else's posing.
If you are asking about the door quilt, yes I did use batting and I quilted it in three sections. the light strip between the pieced strips are the backing fabric after joining the sections then folded over and stitched down....like the fun & done projects.
They aren't too heavy, I wanted them to help keep the cold out through the winter months.

Barb, those are gorgeous! I love the scrappy look. I think your hubby is going to be thrilled with the results, as will anyone else lucky enough to go by your home and see them in person. Pretty!

1. hand quilting one of the B&Y lap quilts in a hoop
2. the second B&Y lap quilt waiting in the wings for the first to be done
3. train quilt in frame working on periocically (don't like to quilt this way coming to find out)
4. floral quilt waiting to be quilted
5. piecing star struck quilt form Bonie Hunters patter www.quiltville.com
6. bargello strips together...not cut yet until other blocks done

Hope to have the B&Y done before the end of the year.
