I was sewing the binding on a queen-sized quilt and was half way round the quilt when I discovered that my dog had chewed a hole through the top, batting, and backing. My DH said if it had been one of the grandsons I might have killed them. The tiny little black chihuahua now has his own blue and yellow queen-sized quilt. I was able to patch it so that after it was laundered the patches disappeared!

Beautiful fix - I'd probably still be crying! :-)

    Kara

you did a fantastic job, you should be proud of yourself! I hope that they keep it out of the dog's reach from now on! I have to agree with you Kara, that is beautiful fabric!

You did an amazing job of repairing that quilt! We have a mini dachshund that chews on fabric. I can't put any good quilts on our bed or couch because of it. I'd like to strangle him sometime because he has chewed holes in all of my good throw pillows. He is now banned from the rest of the house; only in the sunroom unless bedtime. Doxies are just chewers!!! In fact they will eat anything! Be warned, I did not know this or would not have gotten him. I love him now, but he will be my last doxie.

You did a great job repairing the hole!! I know they must be really pleased with it. I bet they put it up until the puppy quits teething. LOL!

Excellent work. I'd not have noticed unless you pointed it out. Guess we all should learn to repair like that. Great save
