I have said all my life that there are no mistakes in sewing (or quilting) only design elements.

You've come up with an original design. I've never seen that anywhere. Nice work!

It kind of reminds me of square dancing, where the ladies join hands to circle left. (allemande left anyone?)

I like it really well. You will know that it is an original and no one will have one just like it. Way to go.

I should have made a paper piece but did not. I was measuring and cutting everything seemed to go well until I realized that I cut one piece to short! I guess I could have re-cut, but I really wanted to use what I brought with me, as I was on a retreat. Re-cutting would mean putting it away for over a week.

I decide to flip things inside out and see what would look good. I really like how it came out and there was very little scrap after I messed up. I did document what I did so if I really want I could make more.

Thanks for looking. I really enjoy this forum, I have learned so much here.
Honestly - I like your AFTER block much better than the starting plain pinwheel.........I think it has a lot of movement and interest............and I can imagine an entire top done with this block, with dark sashing - really neat.......want to share what you did? I would like to try making this block.......and I am sure many others would too!
