When I first purchased this machine I wondered how in the world I would be able to sew and turn the handle at the same time...but it's possible! The funny thing is, I KNOW I'm going to make the machine work by turning a hand crank but almost every time I sit down my feet start searching for the foot pedal! I just get the fabric positioned behind the pressure foot and then start turning the handle. It has great 'pull' from the dog feeds and it's really simpler than it looks. I enjoy using it and as much as I sew, sometimes I get this grand thought that I'm saving electricity. But, I really enjoy my Bernina and it will always be my main machine!
