Cordelia, those are FAAAB UUU LOUS! I love your eye for color. I'm sure you'll do great at the show. I love to make stuff just for the fun of it, then I HAVE to sell it, just to make room for me to make more stuff :D ..I like to get a fair price for it, but I'm content just to cover the cost of my hobby. Do what feels right for YOU, sit back and enjoy the show!

What cute bags! I'm sure you'll find new homes for all of them! Then you can make more!

P.S. I'm glad I don't live nearby. I fell in love with about five of them! And just what I need, another bag! LOL!

I want to apologizeformy rudeness,I didn't realize how it came across when I said I only get $20. for my purses and if I charged more I would be bringing them home till Nancy nicely bought it to my attention. Please Please accept my apologize. The purses and the work are well worth what you charge.

:D :D :D I recognize the charm Party tote. Isn't that a great bag? Around here it is selling for $45. Hope you get as much. Love that Laurel Burch bag too. You are very brave to go out and sell them. I sold some on consignment at a bookstore. Don't have the nerve to go selling myself. Hope you had good luck. Let us all know!

Well, everyone. the "show" turned out to be a great big junky flea market. (sighs.)

Mom and I each sold one bag.

Huggyface, you're right. If you ask more than $20 for it, you take them back home. It was clear from people's reaction to the $35 price, it wasn't worth it to them.

And, of course, they're carrying cheap knock off Vera Bradley bags they get for $10 at K-Mart of Wal-Mart.

Unfortunately, it costs every bit of $20 to make them.

But, some people recognize value when they see it and pay.

And if you live in a depressed area, then those folks can't afford to pay more for an item. Designer products are luxury items. (Vera Bradley) Our bags are made to be middle of the road, unique, fanicful well made totes at a reasonable price, not a luxury price.

At any rate, we've had much better luck selling them at craft shows. From now on, we're only going to craft shows we know.
