    Stephanie I am so sorry for your loss, I lost my mom 22 years ago and I still miss her so much but I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I wish I had gotten some of her clothes so I could have made a quilt. I hope you had enough fabric from the shirts to make yourself a hug from your dad as well. Hope you find peace in your memories.

    I am sorry that your Dad lost his battle with cancer.

    The quilt you made looks so "comfortable/comforting" - and that is meant to be a high compliment! Your color placement of the fabrics/shirts is great -

    Buy a big box of tissues, both of you are going to need it.

    What a lovely remembrance of him. I hope it was therapeutic sewing that, keeping all the warm memories up front and in your mind.

    Very nice. I used some of Dad’s shirts in a quilt and donated it to a ranch for troubled boys. I think he would approve.
