Stephanie I am so sorry for your loss, I lost my mom 22 years ago and I still miss her so much but I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I wish I had gotten some of her clothes so I could have made a quilt. I hope you had enough fabric from the shirts to make yourself a hug from your dad as well. Hope you find peace in your memories.

I am sorry that your Dad lost his battle with cancer.

The quilt you made looks so "comfortable/comforting" - and that is meant to be a high compliment! Your color placement of the fabrics/shirts is great -

Buy a big box of tissues, both of you are going to need it.

What a lovely remembrance of him. I hope it was therapeutic sewing that, keeping all the warm memories up front and in your mind.

Hugs

Such a pretty quilt in all the blues! I'm sure your Mum will be pleased.

Very nice. I used some of Dad’s shirts in a quilt and donated it to a ranch for troubled boys. I think he would approve.

Wonderful quilt with the special memories of your Dad! Your mom is going to be emotional when she sees it yet I hope it brings her smiles and comfort some day.
