I made a quilt of my FIL's shirts with the help of my GD who was 10 at the time..we tied it together and Em had the honor of giving it to MrOk's sister. Yes tears flowed, but it's in her living room now and she feels just a bit closer to her dad when she cuddles in it. And my GD learned something about giving from the heart.

Your mum will be overjoyed to see your lovely quilt! I like the pop of white stars! I can't help but notice the fabrics in your quilt match the background scenery so perfectly.

What a lovely tribute to your father and a memory maker too. Now, you are giving this to your mum. Did you keep some scraps for yourself and maybe a throw size of this same quilt? You are a wise women to bring home his shirts and to then be careful of yourself by waiting to post until you are ready. You will have her in puddles when she gets this quilt.

Hugs to you and your mum. You have created a wonderful quilt of fond memories for her, and hopefully for you as you worked on it. Best wishes and enjoy her visit.
