Thanks Sharon. My mom and I are still tickled with how hard the girls worked, and had so much fun watching them have fun. It was nice to see Mom in such a wonderful mood; good moods for her have been kind of few and far between for the past year, so it really was extra special for all of us.

What a wonderful thing to do, not only are you spending special time with your mom and the girls and you are all so obviouslly enjoying what you are doing but someone else will benefit from your good time together so some of that will be enclosed in each quilt you give. You are teaching the girls good things in a way that isn't boring but lots of fun for everyone. You go girl!!

Bless you, the girls and your mom and the lady who donated the squares to make the blankets you are working on. Not only are the girls enjoying the special time with you and grandma, the memories of WHAT you did with these cloth squares will serve as a wonderful memory for their lifetime and that of their children. Now, the folks who get the quilts will find comfort and warmth in the blankets but also when they think of the thoughtful caring people who made these blankets for them. GOOD JOB!

Thanks. It really is a pleasure working on these. The girls are right there with each step, they're so excited. I really do think we'll make it a yearly project, and next year start much earlier. They'll be able to help with the actually sewing soon, they're getting their own Singers this year for Christmas...shhhh don't tell them :D

What a wonderful lesson for the girls - seeing their mom doing something so great for others - AND being allowed, and encouraged, to help out!!! LOVE IT!!
