I always seem to forget about cutting the salvages off before I start a project and then I have just small pieces. This inspires me to re-think. Beautiful.

Nice job !!! Great Idea for using everything. I'd be losing track of all the selvages over 10 years if it was me!!! lol

Very pretty. Like the use of the lavender that makes this quilt sparkle.

that's a very cool quilt... How creative of you to have saved your selvages for so long, I wouldn't have considered it at all except that I've seen more selvages used in scrappy quilts over this past year... before that, I threw all my small trimmings away.
attitude is everything...the rest will fall into place.

What a fantastic use of selvages! I must remember to leave some of the color part on my selvages when I cut them off. Thanks for that idea!

Did you cut a square of purple and then sew the selvages onto one side of the square? If so, I'm assuming that side of the block is 2 layers now...the purple fabric and the selvages?

Just trying to figure it out so I can copy it!

    Great quilt!

This is absolutely FANTASTIC! What patience you have to collect for 10 years and I'm impressed that you left so much fabric on each selvage....I normally leave either 1/4" or 1/2". Guess I'm too cheap to leave more.....LOL! You really should submit this to a magazine.......it's really special!!!

What a wonderful quilt. I tried saving selvedges, however, I did not have the foresight to cut larger strips. Next time.
