You will eventually find your way and be back on board! I am not computer literate either but I am beginning to find my way. Keep on trying.

If you will go to the bottom of the page and click on "Archive" you will get a list ie, Main, pictures, etc. Click on one of those. The posts you have read are highlighted. It is more like the "Old" Unread Topics. Hope this helps....It sure helped me

I have to agree too! I really don't like this format. I've given it some time now before saying anything. I can't tell what I've already looked, if there are any new posts, etc... I feel like I'm caught in a maze! I no longer "visit" everyday. I'm thinking I'll probably just finish out the Secret Santa and then be done with it. Too much effort for something that should be fun and relaxing!

I think a lot of people feel that way, but there are still amazing things about the board, we all just have to deal with the change to get what we need from the board, its worth a little hassle. I do think it would be nice to have a group to discuss what works and what doesn't so that maybe the new owners will tweak the new board and make it a little easier to navigate. There are negatives and positives to everything.

You CAN change the way the thread looks when you read it - go to Settings at the top of the page. On the left side of the page about halfway down, click General Settings, scroll down to Thread Display Options. You can change the Thread Display Mode, and I'm thinking you might like "Threaded" in the pull-down menu. Then go to the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.

What kind of alternatives are there to "mousing"? Would a roller ball-type of mouse work better for you?

"If the message is strung out so much that you have to scroll horizontally, then try 'control l' to shrink the screen. "

I tried this but it didn't change the size of the page, still have to scroll horizontally to read the message and see who wrote it. May in Jersey.

Sorry, I'm kind of getting tired of all the negative postings about the forum.

Cathyvv, not sure if you are using a Windows machine, or if you know of these shortcuts already, but I'll post a link to what I found re: keyboard shortcuts. Hope it helps.
