Teresa, I am with you on this one for sure this year. I told hubby when package arrived today from CT that this was it! No More! He just laughed (imagine that) and said "I've heard that before!" But really folks, I have enough projects and fabric (including tons of scraps) that I think I can sew for 5 years and never run out of something to do. Help me be strong!

Okay, I am in. I am in the process of creating a quilt using only the fabric I have in the stash. I found new techniques to make jelly rolls work (after I washed them and they shrank to 2 1/4" and the pattern called for 2 1/2") with the Lone Star and the blocks that go with it. I went to my stash and found enough leftover backings to make the backing work. It is looking good and then, and then, no fabric in my stash would work for the borders soooooo, I had to buy 3 yards of fabric for the borders (but hey they are perfect!) Whew...I think that was legal. Will post picture when done, am hand quilting/machine quilting combination. I promise I will not buy any more material this year unless....it is an emergency ;-)

Ok I'm. in. Im determined to only have as much stuff as I have room for. I've been selling or donating books and patterns and cutting and sewing scraps. I figure if I don't buy more fabric then I can make that happen much faster. After all its much faster to buy 10 yards of fabric than to sew it.

We will see how long my resolve lasts. I'm going to my class at the LQS in a few minutes. Their sale table is like a magnet for me! Due to crummy weather, head cold and lots of Football, I've managed to make 3 tops so far this year, all from stash. Downside is, ran out of fabric in top #1 for matching border. Came up with something, but I think my original design would have been better. Top #3, won't have enough for binding in my color choice, again ran out of fabric. I guess I'll just have to plan my future designs better and make sure I have enough fabric before I start.

Paper Princess, I'm running into the same thing. I think that's why my UFOs are UFOs!! LOL So maybe the UFOs will be tummy time size or lap quilts. That's okay. I just want them done.

I just quilted my first LA quilt on friend's machine. Woo hoo! Had planned it as a French door cover to help insulate for dh. Yes, i know how to measure. No, I did not walk across the room and hold it up to see if it fit. This is the quilt dh wanted to keep so now, here it is, all his and too small for the doorway. BUT UFO #1 is finished, except for binding. Will take picture this afternoon. No new fabric purchased.....

Looking forward to seeing the picture of French door (too small) quilt, Nancia. Lucky you to practice on a friend's LA. Did it take a long time? Kudo's for sharing that you finished a UFO!

Had a UFO night with "the girls" I finally finished the Christmas table runner top for my cousin (long story, but was impossible for me to finish for this past Holiday) It turned out fab, hope to quilt it out tomorrow. Also got my charm pack disappearing 4 patch blocks sewn to the first phase. All in all a very fruitful evening with no purchasing required!

I went to Joann's yesterday to shop the 25% off sale for the Go dies, of course they had none I wanted, only bought a few things, NO FABRIC!!
I didn't even LOOK at it!!
I'm so happy I didn't.

I to went to JoAnn's and came out without a single piece of fabric. Least you think I am too nobel, I was willing but the colors I wanted were just not there or I had something in my stash I liked better. Maybe this is the beginning of a little will power. Hate to make a comment like that, seems it just challenges the Fabric Gods to tempt me.
