Ooooh a snowman!
Looking good Thimblebug - I love your fabric choices for the accessories, esp the stripey hat and scarf
Not sure how much I'll get done this weekend, but I will definitely make a start and hopefully post a pic whenever it's done

Juuuust in time for the end of September I've finished this month's block. It's been sitting around waiting to be stitched down for the past 2 weeks and I only today managed to get to it. Happy with the result though.
I am loving this BOM and looking forward to seeing what October has to offer

Attached will hopefully be my October Ice Fisher Penguin....
Oh this block has been a challenge for me. I've had difficulty getting something together that I liked for the hat/bowtie/gloves (I have a boxful of scraps, you wouldn't have thought it would be that hard!), then had to re-cut several pieces, then had to rip out at least some of the stitching on *every**single**colour* of thread that I used for the applique (except the pink for the cheeks, lol), lost the block in my sewing room for a while, found it, did the embroidery... and then the dang picture wouldn't load.
I have not had this much trouble (entirely self-generated, lol!) with a block for a long time!!
But my son likes it (he told me) and I like it, and it's finished, and this is going to be such a cute quilt!!!
Carly - when you get the chance to work on it I'm sure you'll love it (ignore my rant above, it was in no way the pattern's fault - entirely user error! )
Thimblebug - that is one gorgeous penguin
Looking forward to the next 2...
