A bunch of people on the Facebook group are doing just that. Using 2” strips to yield a smaller block. I think your math works out the same as what I saw on FB.

I completed my second “twin” block #2 from Rustling Leaves BOM today. That’s a January BOM activity finish for me.

I just completed the re-make block from A Quilting Life and much prefer the narrower logs. This also finishes me up with BOMs. I'm tempted to start another since it's a long time until the 1st. But then I think about what will happen in Dec. when it's time to assemble the actual quilts.

@Belfrybat I think the narrower strips make a better balanced block! The original was good, but I think this is an improvement!
