Allietare! - Bonnie Hunter's 2015 Mystery Quilt
#1483
I am still sitting on the sidelines while my house is being remodeled but I love all of the beautiful quilts that I have seen and I definitely want to make this quilt. It will probably be the end of this month or the first of February before I can get started.

Losie, you will have fun! I recommend doing the clues in whatever order is convenient...then the last clue,,,I really like having the "parts" assembled and pressed and squared up if necessary...so...when making the blocks everything is ready.....just my honest opinion.

I love all the blocks/quilts shown. It seems if you use busy neutrals than the quilt looks softer. But I also definitely like the striking geometry shown in blocks that are less busy. Here is my progress so far:

That looks great, Pagzz. I agree with your observation on the neutrals. I also think that one of the best things is to have a variable gray like yours, which gives a marbled effect -- so appropriate for Allietare!
I'm very excited. My 'String Fling' book arrived today, and Roll Roll Cotton Boll has the perfect value placement for my sunny Tuscany palette! That's after the Allietare top is completed, of course.
