Whew!!!
I'm all caught up!! Yay, me!! LOL!

I'm hoping that the yellow and green part is as simple as the HST's or the 4-patches. If so, I should be able to knock this out and finish the top before I have to go back to work on Tuesday.

I'm totally loving all this vacation time, even though I'm staying at home (mostly). This is giving me and hubby a taste of what retirement might be like.

Saturday and Sunday will be a road-trip to see the grandbabies for Christmas, so no stitching for me while that's happening.

SBG, I think that Bonnie just said it wouldn't be the same star as in her other mystery, not that it wouldn't be some type of star. The units can be put together with the centers touching to make a diamond shape...

Thank you everyone! Luck was on my side when I found that fabric. Not only did it go well, it was on clearance as well. How could I not buy it?
Clue 5 is sewn and I'm happy with the several that I checked for size. I'll be trimming tomorrow.

There have been some pretty guesses!

...and the plot thickens! Curiouser and curiouser.

Great Clue 5 blocks, Joe's Mom. It's going to be a fun quilt.

There are a couple of estimates on the Quiltville open studio FB page that we've made about 75% of the quilt. It seems like there is too much left to do to have only one more clue. There's still 3.5 yards of fabric we haven't cut, more if you used one constant neutral. I still believe we will be cutting some of the neutral 4 patches to combine with the yellow and/or green. And I could be very wrong as well.

I dont mind two more clues. But always in the past, when we think we have it all figured out, she surprises us.

OK I've given in, I've succumbed to temptation....

I swore I wasn't getting involved in this one, I was gonna sit it out, I wasn't gonna buy fabric the wrong side of Christmas, I had too many other tops waiting to be quilted, etc, etc. I had many, many good reasons for not doing this mystery.

But I've caved! You'all are having too much fun without me.....

Typically me, tho, I can't seem to follow instructions properly.

I'm gonna do only 1/4 of the units, and I've gone monochrome (whispers: and all from stash).

Also I have a set of mini trim-recs templates, which give me a finished unit of 2 inches square, so I'm making all the other units match that size. Dunno what size top I'll end up with but hopefully it'll be big enough for a table topper lol.

So yesterday I rattled through most of the clues. I've left the first one, the neutral 4-patches, til later. I was thinking of doing the single square substitution, but there's some clues relating to that still to come, so I'll hang fire on that decision for now.

Roll on Friday, this convert can't wait now........
