Kalama -- wish I had seen your "lozenge" quilt before I threw away all my little triangle cut-aways! Great idea. Terrific quilt.

Kalama - interesting layout. The magenta stars really show up and define the pattern. And I love the way you handled the corners.

It seems like several are using the Tri-Rec block instead of the hourglass to make the pattern rounded. I wish I had seen these before I made upteen hourglass with yellow. Plus I don't have any blue Tri-Recs done and hate making them.

What an interesting border design, KalamaQ!

I am also working on QSTs. I finished the clue 6 last night and hope to finish clue 7s today. (I don't mind QSTs, since they come out the right size, unlike those pesky tri-recs units).

I've decided to change the outer area of the quilt, and just put neutral 4-patches in between the protruding magenta star points. I'm considering a border idea using QSTs, but that would mean making an additional 108 of them. I'd hate to make them and then decide it was a bad idea, lol.

Givio and Kassaundra - I did not like my original 4 patches either. They were just too bright. I chose a different, more subdued yellow, and am using it as a constant.

Plodding along and making progress. I have 10 blocks done and some sashing as well. I am not too happy with some of my yellow but don't plan on ripping them out. All in all I am happy with my fabric choices. I love seeing all the variety of colors and fabrics. Kudos to those that have their tops done, I am in awe of your ability to finish so fast.
