SusieQOH - Whew! I didn't see the other one, as I was focusing on the butterflies - that is where my whole block will need to be a 90 degree turn. I haven't turned it yet. I took it to show and tell, put it on the floor to show off and surprise! for me, I get a date with jack the ripper. NOW - does anyone see anything else I need to fix? I think my diagonal butterflies should all be going the same direction.

It's exciting seeing my A blocks come together. I've eliminated the four that had the busiest neutrals, as those were not working. I also discovered that having all butterflies going the same way solved the problem I was having when I tried alternating them.

I, too, had a date with Jack the Ripper after assembling the halves. He sure is getting around with all those butterflies! I took a picture and while looking at the 2 halves laid out in the picture, there it was. I ended up having the middle 9-patch of butterflies turned the opposite direction as the 4 corners so...rip, rip, rip. So thankful to have these things fixed before its finished.

Sherry - it looks like several of the inset triangles may need to be switched as well. Glad I left out all those blocks. There was enough ripping out already without them going the wrong way.

So many great finishes (or almost finishes). Even one that look similar have their own unique flair.

For my border, I’m thinking about adding a skinny border of my garnet and then another turquoise border. I have plenty of the turquoise but needed more of a garnet. Lucky for me, the quilt shop where I bought my preferred garnet in Nov 2020 still had the fabric and was having a sale!

But first, I wanted to finish a baby quilt that I used as a leader/ender for RT. It is a resized BH free pattern “Smokey Mountain Stars.” The baby is due any day, but I want to gift it with a quilt for the “big” brother, which I have yet to start!

I would just like to say how much I admire you all for a) noticing all of the little details and b) being able to laugh while talking about having to bring out a stitch ripper! Everything that I've seen on here has been so lovely and unique and I honestly only saw the "blips" after serious staring (even when they were circled!). I have learned so much here. Thank you. :-)
