Thanks for posting the link to the pumpkin block. Really like that one and will make it as an extra. I think the thing I like about this BOM is that they like you doing your own thing. Am on one where you will not get their label if you make changes so I was pretty much out after I made the 1st block. LOL and do I care No! Guess I have always had trouble obeying the rules.

I like the pumpkin block also. I think I will keep it in mind if there are any future blocks that don't appeal to me. After all, pumpkins are grown on farms too.

Love the pumpkin block!! Fits theme better. For my layout, this block will be another mini. I really want some more animals, though...mooooooo! Cluck cluck cluck! Quack quack! Baaa Baaa! You get the picture...lol..

I'm excited about the pumpkin too! Yesterday I went to my favorite thrift store and grabbed half a dozen bags of scraps for a quarter each. I'm hoping there is some orange in there!

I was looking at the photos of some of the pumpkin blocks on the FB site. Even though the pdf directions clearly point it out, from the looks of the various layouts, it seems that the 'sub' pattern of the star is not obvious... some are completely ignored and at least one has one of the star points in the wrong direction. What led me to look further is the one picture where the maker put orange as the background, the pumpkin white, and the star as scrappy oranges. So if you are going to do the pumpkin, you may want to pay attention to the directions/layout if you want the star.

Thanks for the tip on the star, Nancy! I didn't even know there was a star. I literally saw the email yesterday morning, posted the link and had to run out the door for the day, so I haven't even looked at the pattern yet.

I loved the star in this pumpkin. Thought that was unique when I first saw the pattern. I'll have to check out FB.

ta-da. I finally got to the Farmer's Daughter block. Can't believe that I had to unsew 4 seams! I like that the outer frame was oversized to give room for a proper square up to 12.5" . wish I had a place to take the pic that didn't put a shadow on one side.
