Giant Scrappy Swoon Quilt Along
#682

Hello ladies, I started piecing my Giant Scrappy Swoon in July of 2015. I finally completed the last step. 12, 9 patch blocks and pieced the top together. Now, I am working of borders to make it bigger for my queen bed. So, hope to have this completely finished in the next month and off to the quilters.

I made lots of mistakes with color value. But, I learned a lot. lol, You can still see the overall design because I used such contrasting colors.
I would probably make this quilt one more time, but, I would like to make the changes that this quilt has. http://quiltingdigest.com/wp-content...SRedBridge.png No sense making the exact same quit twice.

I really love this quilt design. I keep looking at the ones on Google, Pinterest and Flickr. There are so many color options and designs. That, it makes me want to make it again and again. I guess though, I should really finish this one first.

My Swoon from this Quilt-Along is still languishing at the top stage. I started to quilt it, but didn't like how it was going and stopped to re-think it. Still deciding, I guess! I like the link you shared. Thanks! It was an interesting idea.

Very pretty. Congratulations on getting it this far. It will look so nice on the queen bed.
Mine was given a couple of years ago to a friend that lost her daughter and then she gave it to her son (my Godson). I was glad she did that because I had really debated on who I should give it to at the time.

Thank you ladies. My Swoon is finished for now. I continued to border out with all the green squares I had left. It will be sent of to the quilters in the next couple of weeks. I wanted it to look like a giant flower surrounded by green grass. I just couldn't bear the thought of putting borders that would stop abruptly. I will probably pick either a med green or light green to bind it off with. I hope I have something that will match the backing fabric.
